British astrophysicist slams "climate change" hoax, says scientists are only in it for the money
Mainstream media and a majority of climate scientists suggest that man-made global warming is real. However, despite the chatter that it caused over the past few decades, only
0.3 percent of papers actually claim that man caused most of the post-1950 global warming.
According to the "Climate Emergency" story, carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the biggest contributors to global warming, and man's contribution is a dangerous factor in this. However, CO2 is only present in 0.04 percent of air, and man-made carbon emissions contribute to only four percent of this total. Put in perspective, CO2 would be tantamount to small, two-millimeter pigeon droppings on top of Big Ben.
Piers Corbyn, a top astrophysicist and director of WeatherAction long-range forecast, argues that
man-made global warming caused by CO2 is nonsense. According to him, CO2 levels are an effect, and not a cause of the change in climate or temperatures.
In a recent interview, the brother of former U.K. Labor Party leader Jeremy Corbyn explained that the climate "
has always been changing, but this has nothing to do with man."
He explained that the changes in the Earth's climate and weather are dictated primarily by cyclical activity on the surface of the sun, and had nothing to do with man-made carbon emissions. He also said that the climate change "scientists" who disagree with him are only trying to make money.
The discussion was prompted by this year's record heatwaves and subsequent droughts that resulted in the
hottest summer recorded in European history, as per a report by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S).
Freja Vambog, a senior scientist at the agency, said that there has not only been record August temperatures for Europe, but for summer as a whole. The previous summer record is only a year old.
This "record" prompted activists to parrot the same old tropes that the change in the weather "confirms climate change."
At a time when there is an
energy crisis in Europe, green policies are also now on hold in favor of governments not letting their citizens freeze or starve to death.
CO2 narrative does not make sense
In a discussion for the
University of Reading's Debate Society, Corbyn posited that for the CO2 narrative to be true, man-made CO2 must be able to control the rest of the CO2 traces. Moreover, CO2 must be the main controller of temperature and climate.
But according to the society, such claims fail when passed through scientific scrutiny. It added that these claims will not be made any less false by the number of new or old celebrities and "scientists" generating carbon footprints by attending "save the planet" rallies and parroting alarmist forecasts.
Despite what climate alarmists claim, CO2 has been steadily rising while temperatures have swayed with the times – half the time moving with CO2, half against it.
Ice-core data over a longer period also showed that CO2 levels, which smoothed over the centuries, follow world climate temperatures by around 500 to 800 years. (Related:
Cosmic crash 12,800 years ago caused climatic changes, proving "climate change" can happen at any moment, far beyond our control.)
The current increase in CO2 levels in the past century are after-effects of the medieval warm period, which took place around 500 to 800 years ago, and was warmer than the current climate despite having fewer people and burning fewer fossil fuels.
The current weather extremes that the world has been experiencing simply match a developing ice age. According to Corbyn's WeatherAction, they come from the wild, south-shifted jet stream swings. The occasional extreme hot blasts and cold periods are common in little ice-age circulations.
Moreover, the man-made global warming hoax is simply pushed for tax and control policies that are damaging ordinary people. These tyrannical "green" policies affect the poorest populations, with millions dying of fuel-poverty-related causes due to climate policies every year.
