Yesterday, a bus of immigrants arrived in NYC, carrying less than half the amount of passengers expected. Democrat Mayor Eric Adams suggested that these immigrants got off the bus early because they feared the city’s ongoing crime problem. At a press conference on Sunday, Adams welcomed the busload of migrants who were arriving from Texas. When he learned that most of the passengers departed before reaching NYC, a shocked Adams said, “We were led to believe about 40 people should have been on that bus. However, she did not offer an alternative explanation of what the migrants may have feared when arriving in the city. NYC has been suffering from a crime rate that spiked almost 40% this year compared to 2021, according to statistics released by the NYPD. Hate crime rates are up 13.3%, and transit crime waves are up a major 53% compared to the same period last year. No wonder the border-crossers are afraid to live in this city.
