Former National Security Advisor Gen. Michael Flynn
sued the federal government for $50 million over the Spygate probe. Flynn elaborated on the lawsuit during an interview with "Facts Matter" host Roman Balmakov on Epoch TV. It named the
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the
Department of Justice (DOJ) as plaintiffs.
According to the former Donald Trump confidant, the case had been filed in August 2021 although it was only made public recently. He added that the case was against all individuals who were part of the Spygate investigation from the top down, including former Director of National Intelligence Jim Clapper. (Related:

Flynn was one of the main targets of the Spygate probe. Based on declassified government documents, the retired general had his name
unmasked more than 45 times by former Obama administration officials – including current President Joe Biden.
In a separate lawsuit, Flynn accused he
Department of Defense of wrongly issuing a $40,000 fine against his pension. In response to Balmakov's questions about whether the fine was justified and if he was fighting back against it, Flynn remarked that he is definitely contesting the penalty and that a motion has already been filed.
"I'm not going to buy into it. This country is not going to be a socialist country because the American people don't want that. They are going to try every which way to make us a socialist country by usurping every aspect and particularly coming after people like me and it's a shame."
Flynn fighting back against the Deep State
The "Facts Matter" host added that since Flynn left public office, he has gone on the offensive by filing legal claims against FBI and DOJ officials for malicious prosecution and abuse of process.
The general himself reiterated his stance, saying that he is not going to let these people who attempted to smear him get away with their actions. He added that they went after him intentionally and not simply by mistake.
"We are going after the people that lied to not only defame my family and I, but also damaged the reputation of this country; damaged the reputation of everything that we stand for on this planet; and also damaged the institutional reputations of the U.S. intelligence community, the DOJ [and] the entire system of our rule of law."
"These are dangerous people because they have usurped their ethics, their morals and the law. They took advantage of it because they were in positions of power and authority and they thought that they were going to get away with it."
Flynn also took shots at the DOJ, including U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, for going after people with conservative political views and American values. He rebuked the department for turning a blind eye to the woke mob and Antifa who were rioting, burning cities to the ground and murdering people in 2020.
